TIME FLIES! It’s been almost two years since we, Mike and Fiona, became your caterers at the Winchester Club. Time for an update.
OPENING TIMES: Most members know our opening times, kitchen is closed Wednesdays’ and the rest of the week you can order food from 11.30 till 17.00. If there is an event on Wednesday, we will change our day off for that week. Many people DON’T know that we are happy to cook a bit longer if you want a nice dinner (till 7). You can easy reserve by phone call/app to Fiona (07383686186). The club now has more new members and more events will be organized. Sometimes lunch or dinner is fully booked. Best is to get in contact and make a booking to be on the safe side.
FISH FRIDAY: Fish is healthy and many people don’t eat enough fish (including us!) Time for a change! On Fridays’ we will have fish available for lunch. Fresh fish means that our supplier it delivers Friday morning. FRESH! But we need to order it on Thursday. Again you have to call/app Fiona if you want cod, salmon, mussels, scallops, sole, big prawns. Its pre ordering only.
The CLUB: Not everybody knows what’s going on in that big white building. It’s a bit hidden… Language schools early in the morning, Bingo twice a week, a quiz once a month, darts. It’s the perfect location for your birthday, wedding anniversary or private party. The summer is on its way. Terrace time! You can sit in the sun or shade. Relax and watch the bowls on one of the best greens in the area. You can have a nice lunch on the terrace. We serve a lot of healthy salads, Dutch Snacks to share with your mates or a juicy burger. Ask Fiona for our a la carte menu. Have you seen the snooker room? 3 big professional tables in good condition. Prices for drinks, food and membership of the Club are VERY reasonable. Why don’t you ( and your friends) become a member?
FOOD/MENU: Our a la carte menu is a bit of everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s international with French, Italian, Dutch and British dishes. Sunday Roast is many times fully booked (beef/pork/chicken/gammon), last Sunday of the month we do our famous roast lamb! There is also the opportunity to pre order your favourite dish on other days. Maybe you fancy a lamb shank, a Duck breast, chateaubriand, calves liver or a tender steak pie, a classic pub dish? Mike is looking forward to cook it for you! More snooker players are ordering a bacon sandwich, popular toastie or a burger and chips. Otelli’s kitchen can also come to you! We also do catering on location, you don’t need to go shopping, stressing, cooking, cleaning. We will do it for you, nice food and you can spend time with friends and family. Ask us about the possibilities.
SPECIAL EVENTS: We hold Friday food theme night events. Greek? Spanish tapas? French? Mexican? Caribbean? and many more. To keep you a bit busy we organise a fun quiz also. Tasty different food, with some fun and nice people. A different night. We also organize this for companies, the Round table and of course the Club members. (have a look in our food display}. The game of skittles is popular, a nice game with colleagues/ friends/family. This is optional; possible with a meal like roast chicken, scampi, English sausages and our crispy chips.
SUMMER TIMES AT THE CLUB! We’re looking forward! We will organize a CLUB barbecue (“the start of the summer”) but we can do a barbie for you or your family and friends. Don’t worry about the weather, we have plan B! As we said before we are happy to cook and serve till 19.00 inside the club or on the terrace. We hope to see you soon, in the restaurant, bar or on the terrace!
