HOT NEWZ FROM THE KITCHEN….
Time flies…Summer is on its way and we will be in our third (!) year at the Winchester Club. A lot of new members the last few months, not everybody knows us yet, so we are Mike and Fiona from Otelli’sKitchen, we are the experienced caterers from the Club. We are self-employed and in this NEWZLETTER we want to explain what we are doing and what the opportunities are for you as a member.
SUNDAY ROAST is very popular, booking is essential, we serve every week beef, gammon, pork or chicken and the last Sunday of the month the popular roast lamb. Watch the notice board for more info. How to book etc.
A LA CARTE MENU is available during daytime; have a look! There are different dishes on the menu.Different beef burgers. A new menu is on its way. Homemade food, nicely priced(especially for Winchester…) Wednesday and Thursday the kitchen is closed. FLEXIBLE YES we are! We have our openings times but it happens quite often that we, on your request, cook for special groups, parties, events, wakes etc on our day off, just ask.
THE WINCHESTER CLUB …Not everybody knows what happens in that big white building. More than people realize. Twice a week bingo, Friday Night the meat draw, Wednesday Tea dance (members welcome), a big snooker room, a beautiful green with a sunny terrace where they play bowls from May till Oct. Maybe you want to join, come for a try out. Equipment and teachers are available. People play darts, skittles and crib competitions, it’s also a friendly meeting place and the bar prices are reasonable. BACK TO THE KITCHEN!
Once a month we organize a food themed event with a fun quiz. A GREEK night, SPANISH tapas, CARIBBEAN cruise, Bella ITALIA, romantic FRANCE or Going DUTCH, ORIENTAL or the BRITISH Isles. STEAK NIGHT? You name it, we cook it for you, why not book in for one, its great fun! It’s a nice evening to meet other people in a cozy relaxed atmosphere with different homemade food.
A SPECIAL BARBECUE will be held Sat 8th June, this will be a different Club day, with LIVE music and a prize draw. We will have an original barbecue menu that day. Prebooking will be essential. HOLIDAY! YEAH! The kitchen will be closed from Tuesday 28th May for only 10 days, reopening Friday the 7th of June. A short break and maybe we come back with some Greek ideas!
THE SNOOKER ROOM becomes more popular. We have a menu displayed in the snooker room, why not have a look and prebook a meal, burger, a snack or some chips before or after your game.
Kitchen closes most days at 5.
THE CLUB IS A PERFECT WEDDING VENUE.
Maybe not for you this year but keep it in your mind for family, friends. You can recommend us. Good location, homemade food, affordable bar prices, music facilities and plenty of room, inside and outside on the terrace. We have the experience to organize this.
SUPPORT THE CLUB !
Many clubs, bars and restaurants are struggling or have to close. Our club is doing well but… Quite often there is live music, entrance is still free (the bands are not cheap…) unfortunately it’s not always a full house. You can help to bring people in (every member can sign in for 2). Bring your neighbour in, friends or your mother in law. If the Club is doing well they can continue with Live music and keep the bar prices very reasonable. Quite often we serve a nice meal for a special price from 18.00 (plenty of time before you dance), Come and support!
