DECEMBER 2024 NEWSLETTER
Well here we are almost at the end of 2024. What a year it has been, unfortunately it’s been more downs than ups. Of course you might think differently! How boring life would be if we all agreed……..Anyway on behalf of the Chairman and Committee, I would like to wish you All a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hopefully we will see a lot of Members on our Club Party Night and on New Years Eve.
NEWS FROM THE COMMITTEE.
I hope you have all noticed the outside of the Club…If you haven’t then take a look. We have had a very special painter on the job, in the form of Chris Ralph. Many thanks Chris, brilliant job…..can’t say the same for your face painting efforts!
We will be charging Guests £5.00 on Music nights. This broken down to the usual £2per guest and £3 towards Entertainment. It was noted there were people at the Tribute night who were not members and had not been signed in. So please don’t be offended if you are asked for your Membership Card! We are simply going back a few years ago when you had to sign in!
The Tina Turner night was a success! So thank you to those who attended. Hopefully I can find a few more Tribute Acts. Suggestions?

The Air Conditioning is to be set for the Winter and a new board is in place.

BOWLS
The Bowler’s Subscription is to be increased by £5.00.

ENTERTAINMENT
Every Wednesday afternoon 2pm-4pm
It’s a social afternoon. Come and have a dance and a chat if you want to, but it’s defiantly not Strictly. Those are Don’s words not mine I hasten to add.

SUE’S QUIZ NIGHT
Don’ forget the Monthly Wednesday Quiz night, especially the Christmas Quiz.

Please check the Board which is now in the Lounge Bar for other things going on in the Club, including the Christmas Raffle and Meat Draw!

FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER ON MAIN MUSIC NIGHTS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF VALENTINE’S NIGHT
RACE NIGHT ON FRIDAY 24TH JANUARY DETAILS WILL BE ON THE BOARD,ON THE SCREENS AND ON THE INTERNET VERY SOON.

Before I sign off, can I just remind you that our Donations to the Stroke Association will finish on New Years Eve, so if you are feeling generous please give our contributions a final boost! Thank you so much!!
