MARCH NEWSLETTER 2025
Thank goodness the sun is at last shining and the winds have dropped. It’s not been a good year so far in so many ways! Onwards and upwards hopefully and as we say at Christmas, Peace to all Men (and Women)! I hope you have noticed how white and bright the exterior of the Club now looks. Thanks to the sterling efforts (in between the wind and rain) of our wonderful Chris Ralph. What would we do without him! Thank You Chris!!!
Committee News
Membership fees increased from 1st March 2025 to £35.00 for new members and £30.00 for renewals
Price Increase from 1st March 2025
20p on alcohol and 10p on soft drinks
This is mainly due to Molson Coors increase and minimum wage increases.
The Committee stays the same, except we now have our youngest Committee Member ….Dan Whitfield. Returning to the Committee is Matt Stewart.
New roles for two of our Staff. Gary is now Steward and will spend more time on running the Club and Donna is now the Bar Manager. We wish them well in their new Roles.
We have said a sad ‘Goodbye’ to Tia, but no doubt we will see her in the Market Bar. Her happy little face will be missed. On the plus side we have a new addition to the Bar Staff! Welcome Talia everyone!!!!! Interviews are still ongoing for another member of the Bar Staff.
On behalf of the Committee I would like to Thank Pete and Rosemary for their lovely Valentines decorating.

We are a PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUB. You are welcome to bring in two guests (for no more than two visits per month.). They must be signed in with full details of name and address. The fee is £2.00 per guest except on music nights when it is £5.00. If you sign in a guest please remember that when you leave they must leave with you! Sorry no exceptions can be made.

Saturday 7th June…The Jays….firm Club Favourites
Watch for more details of what’s to come including Ant and Dave, Abba’s Angels, Totally Elton and Phil Lowan’s Tribute to Tom Jones and Neil Diamond.

Don’t forget Sue’s monthly Quiz on the 2nd Wednesday in the month or Mike and Fiona’s monthly themed Food and Quiz night! Summer Draw tickets are on sale! Bingo is still on Monday afternoons and Sunday nights. Books and jigsaws are available to borrow. Thrift Club is up and running again.
Gary, Linda and I try to make sure you get to know about these things via the TV screens, Linda’s Board and this Newsletter. We are human and like everyone we sometimes get things wrong for which I apologies. We are after all just like you!
